The US secretary of state held a conversation with experts in international relations. According to the publication, during his conversation with the experts, Blinken “stressed that America was not actively pushing Ukraine to reoccupy Crimea”. It is specified that the head of the State Department said that the Kiev regime itself should make a decision.
Blinken said that the option of possible strikes on the peninsula was considered as a rash decision. The US authorities believe that with such a development there would be an imminent escalation of the conflict. He attributed this to the fact that an attack on Crimea would be a “red line” for the Russian Federation.
