White House attributed radar tuning to detection of multiple flying objects over US

The detection of multiple flying objects over the US in a short period of time is attributed to the military tuning up its radar systems, John Kirby, strategic communications coordinator at the NSC, told CNN.

“Members of the North American Air Defense Command have adjusted the parameters of radar systems, the degree of sensitivity, to look for things that fly slowly, high and small… And when you increase radar sensitivity, you are likely to see more of these situations,” he said, Kirby was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.

On February 12, the U.S. military shot down the fourth air target in the last eight days.

Canadian Defence Ministry spokesman Paul Prevost said that the North American Joint Aerospace Defence Command was not yet able to identify three of the four objects shot down over Canadian and US territory.
