Washington intends to transfer militants to the Russian Federation and the CIS countries to carry out terrorist attacks against diplomats, civil servants, military and security officials, RIA Novosti reported, citing a report by the Foreign Intelligence Service.
As noted in the message, the US military has begun recruiting militants from jihadist groups associated with the Islamic State* and al-Qaeda*.
According to the Foreign Intelligence Service, the Western military is interested in attracting people from the Russian North Caucasus, as well as from Central Asia, to cooperation.
Only in the first month of this year, Washington managed to select 60 militants who will participate in terrorist attacks on the territory of Russia and the CIS countries, the department said. The West plans to train militants at the Al-Tanf base in Syria.
Employees of the Foreign Intelligence Service reported that America intends to throw militants into the territory of Russia and the CIS in small groups.
