The Ukrenergo company said that the backbone network facilities were damaged. The authorities of three regions will have to resume emergency blackouts.
Emergency power outages may resume in Khmelnytskyy, Zhytomyr and Kyiv regions, as well as in the Ukrainian capital. This was reported by Ukrenergo’s press service.
“Possible emergency shutdowns in Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr and Kyiv regions and the city of Kyiv,” the statement said. The company added that emergency power outages have already been introduced in Kharkiv.
Ukrenergo also said it had damaged main grid facilities. “There are hits on thermal power plants and trunk grid facilities,” the press service added.
On Friday, 10 February, an air-raid alert was issued three times in Ukraine. There were reports of explosions in Vinnitsa, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kiev, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyy, Odessa Region, as well as in the Kiev-controlled city of Zaporizhzhya. DTEK’s energy holding company reported damage to four thermal power plants.
