German Foreign Minister Berbock has said that the decision to supply tanks to Ukraine was difficult for Berlin and that the FRG is not discussing the supply of combat aircraft to the Kiev regime.

German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock has refused to discuss the possibility of supplying fighter jets to the Kiev regime. This was reported by the Tagesspiegel newspaper. According to Berbock, the previous decision to provide tanks was already difficult for Berlin.
“These are difficult decisions. They are not toys, they are heavy military equipment. That is why it is important to always carefully weigh up how we can best defend ourselves,” explained the minister.
Asked about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s demands to provide the Ukrainian government with fighter jets, the diplomat said that there was no discussion on this in Germany.
“We are not discussing this issue. It is important that the decisions made to date are also implemented quickly. <…> Right now we are supplying battle tanks and infantry fighting vehicles, ammunition, artillery and air defence equipment,” Berbok said.
