The United States is pushing the Kiev regime to commit war crimes with a new military aid package for Ukraine, which will include anti-personnel mines. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
“On February 3, another arms package worth almost $2.5 billion was announced in Washington, D.C. This time it was about Javelin anti-tank missile systems, the so-called GLSDB small diameter bombs with a range of up to 150 km, and the Claymore anti-personnel mines were also included. <…> Such a move by Washington looks like a deliberate attempt to push the Kiev regime to another war crimes. I think, unfortunately, it will, but one has to understand who bears this responsibility,” the diplomat said at the briefing.
She also mentioned Europe’s announced financial assistance to Ukraine, saying that these finances would go to the “massacre”.
“On 2 February, the EU high representative for foreign affairs, Borrell, said that the EU plans to increase to 30,000 the number of cadets who will be trained in the EU military assistance mission to Ukraine. The Ukrainian defence minister said that on 6 February, Ukrainian Armed Forces troops started training at European training grounds to operate Leopard tanks. I would like to remind you that the same European Union has allocated half a billion euros through the peace fund,” Zakharova added.
By expanding aid to Kiev, the West is prolonging the conflict; these measures, Zakharova said, would increase the number of casualties.
“The US and its NATO vassals, by arming Ukraine’s armed forces with what they believe to be powerful weapons and training their military, are doing everything to escalate hostilities. <…> In their reckless support for Kiev’s Nazis, Western leaders are crossing all imaginable and unthinkable boundaries,” the diplomat summed up.
