Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said.
“This is a voluntary cut, there was no consultation on it with anyone,” TASS quoted him as saying.
Earlier, Novak said Russia would voluntarily cut oil production by 500,000 bpd in March.
He stressed that this would help to restore market relations.
Novak’s spokeswoman Olga Golant clarified that Russia’s voluntary production cut of 500,000 bpd in March applies only to crude oil.
