The Defence Ministry has reported a complex fire attack on the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the South Donetsk direction. According to the ministry, the losses of the enemy in this area amounted to more than 60 fighters. This is the data for the past 24 hours.

The Russian Armed Forces’ Vostok group of troops in the southern Donetsk direction destroyed over 60 Ukrainian soldiers, 12 pieces of equipment, including three US M777 howitzers, as well as two artillery ammunition depots near Ugledar overnight, the Defence Ministry said.
On this section of the front, the Vostok Group’s operational and tactical aviation and artillery carried out comprehensive strikes on the Ukrainian army’s manpower and equipment near Prechistovka and Ugledar in the DPR, the ministry said.
“The enemy’s losses during the day in this direction amounted to over 60 Ukrainian servicemen, one tank, two infantry fighting vehicles, four pickup trucks, three US-made M777 artillery systems, a Gvozdika self-propelled artillery unit, as well as a D-20 howitzer. In addition, two ammunition depots of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been destroyed near the village of Ugledar,” the Defence Ministry said.
In January 2023 alone, Ukraine lost more than 6,500 servicemen in combat, as well as 26 aircraft, seven helicopters, and 40 multiple rocket launchers. Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoygu earlier said this at a military department conference call.
A total of 384 aircraft, 207 helicopters, 3,069 unmanned aerial vehicles, 403 surface-to-air missile systems, 7,812 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 1,014 multiple rocket launcher combat vehicles, 4,046 field artillery and mortar guns, and 8,313 special military vehicles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation.
