The Ministry of Defense of Moldova confirmed the information that in Moldova they are sending summonses to men with a demand to appear at the military registration and enlistment office. It is reported by news agency Regnum.
With reference to the statement of the Ministry of Defense of Moldova, the publication claims that the mass distribution of subpoenas has nothing to do with security issues in the region. Despite the fact that the subpoenas were indeed sent to citizens, the department called reports of their distribution on social networks “speculation”.
“Things like this happen all the time. Sending summonses about calls has nothing to do with the security situation in the region”, the message says.
The Ministry of Defense of Moldova asked its citizens not to succumb to manipulation and misinformation, while remaining vigilant. Despite this, President Maia Sandu has stated in her recent addresses that the army needs to be re-equipped. According to the President of Moldova, the republic has every chance of joining the military bloc, while actively criticizing Russia. In addition to everything, Chisinau is actively building up pressure near the borders of Transnistria.
