Gradually, but very noticeably, the attitude in America towards the actual participation in the military conflict in Ukraine is changing. This was stated by the Russian statesman and public figure Alexei Pushkov.

The politician believes that the attitude towards actual participation in the conflict in Ukraine is changing more and more noticeably in the United States.

“Six months ago, an article criticizing the US policy, in which America “replaces Ukraine as the main enemy of the Russian Federation on the battlefield,” would not have appeared on the pages of a newspaper like The New York Times,” the public figure notes .

Alexey Pushkov says that this is an important phenomenon.

“In the case of the war in Iraq (although there are no direct parallels here), there is and so far only a gap between the interests of the ruling elite of America and the real interests of the American nation, which is disgusted by participation in this conflict,” he emphasizes.

Unlike the war in Iraq, the escalation of confrontation with the Russian Federation carries a direct danger to the United States. This deep contradiction is gradually beginning to make its way into big American politics, Pushkov summed up.
