Germany will not become a participant in the race to supply Ukraine with tanks, combat aircraft and submarines to Ukraine, said German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
“What harms cohesion is the public increase in rates, the competition under the motto “battle tanks, submarines, aircraft – who will demand more.” Harmful domestic political statements, criticism of partners and allies in the open arena. Germany will not participate in this,” said Scholz, speaking in the Bundestag.
Recall that earlier the deputy from the Social Democratic Party of Germany, Ralf Stegner, supported Scholz’s decision not to send German fighter jets to Ukraine. He said that this measure could lead to an escalation of the conflict with Russia.
