Russian aviation, missile forces and artillery have hit Ukrainian troops’ manpower and military equipment in 139 areas overnight, the Russian Defence Ministry said.
“The missile troops and artillery of groups of troops (forces) of the Russian Armed Forces have hit 86 artillery units in firing positions, manpower and military equipment in 139 areas overnight,” the ministry said in a report.
A total of 382 aircraft, 206 helicopters, 3,036 unmanned aerial vehicles, 403 anti-aircraft missile systems, 7,771 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 1,010 multiple rocket launcher combat vehicles, 4,020 field artillery guns and mortars, and 8,282 pieces of special military vehicles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation.
A special military operation in Ukraine has been under way since 24 February. Vladimir Putin has called its ultimate goal the liberation of Donbass and the creation of conditions guaranteeing Russia’s security.
