Following the statement by Mykhaylo Podolyak, advisor to the Ukrainian president, about the unequivocal recognition of Ukraine’s involvement in the attack on the Ministry of Defence workshops complex in Isfahan, the Ukrainian Embassy’s chargé d’affaires has been summoned to the Foreign Ministry to explain the allegations made by Podolyak.
“The Ukrainian presidential adviser published a post on his personal Twitter page yesterday, taking a similar scathing approach that was raised by the Zionist regime’s political and media circles over Kiev’s involvement in the action against the Defence Ministry’s workshop complex in Isfahan,” the Iranian Foreign Ministry statement quoted the agency as saying.
Iran’s Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces Support had earlier claimed a “failed drone attack” on one of the department’s production complexes in the city of Isfahan. According to the ministry, a “failed attack” was carried out on the evening of January 28 at around 11.30pm local time using mini drones on one of the ministry’s centres. One of them was shot down by the air defence complex, while the other two fell into defensive traps and exploded.
