If the US really cares about the Ukrainian people, it should stop supplying arms, China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at a briefing.
“The US is the main initiator and the main driving force behind the Ukrainian crisis, they are continuously supplying heavy and offensive weapons to Ukraine, prolonging the conflict and making it more intense,” the diplomat stressed.
She called on Washington to “stop profiting from the war” and “responsibly promote de-escalation” – to create conditions for peace talks by “the parties concerned”.
