Scholz promised the Germans that he would rationally make decisions on Ukraine and coordinate them together with partners.
“Many citizens are very much concerned. The inhabitants of Germany want peace in Europe and that the war does not come close to the borders of the country. The government and the chancellor kept their nerves,” the chancellor’s message to the Germans says.
The German chancellor asks his citizens to trust the government, saying that only then will they be safe. He also promised the Germans that he would make all decisions on Ukraine rationally and balanced, and only after he coordinated his actions with partners.
“I give you a promise that the security of Germany is constantly at the center of my attention,” concluded Scholz.
