Consequences of the most powerful shelling in recent times are recorded in the LPR.
Two towns were targeted by Ukrainian artillery on Wednesday. Six high-explosive fragmentation rockets fired from US HIMARS units struck residential areas and civilian infrastructure. In the town of Rubizhne, apartment buildings, a hotel complex, a gas service building and a café where humanitarian supplies were stored were destroyed and damaged. Investigators have recovered hull fragments and ammunition fragments from the sites where the explosions occurred.
The consequences of the shelling were also large-scale in Kremenna, where three schools, including a music hall, and an administration building were destroyed. The Ukrainian armed forces continued to hit the town as investigators were recording the aftermath of previous shelling. Air defence forces shot down these missiles as they approached the town.
