The Slovak Ministry of Defence has announced Kiev’s desire to receive from Bratislava 14 more Zuzana 2 self-propelled howitzers.
This was reported by RIA Novosti citing the spokeswoman of the Slovak Ministry of Defence, Martina Koval-Kakashchikova.
“Ukraine is interested in receiving 14 more Zuzana 2 self-propelled howitzers,” she said.
According to her, negotiations on the issue are under way.
Earlier, Slovak Defence Minister Jaroslav Nagy said the republic plans to discuss the transfer of its Soviet-made MiG-29 fighter jets to Kiev.
At the same time, the Slovak defence ministry’s spokeswoman said that Slovakia would supply Ukraine with tanks, but only on condition that it receives modern armoured vehicles of Western origin instead.
