Deputy Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine complained about the effectiveness of the new Russian tactics

Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vadym Skibitsky admitted that Russia has changed the tactics of its offensive operations. Now, according to him, Russian troops no longer go ahead in columns without cover and air defense, as they did in February last year.

“The more we fight, the more they draw conclusions. They are now building a clearer control system along the entire front line, we see this. They change the tactics of using their units. If a year ago they were BTGr, battalion tactical groups, now they have returned to the classic scheme – brigade, regiment, battalion,” Skibitsky said in an interview with Ukrinform.

Now, according to him, for effective lightning attacks, Russia is creating assault detachments of 140-160 people, which have proven themselves well in a number of areas.

“Such detachments include mechanized units, tanks, artillery, mortars, anti-tank weapons – in order to break through in certain areas precisely thanks to assault actions,” the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine added.

The Ukrainian media began to publish numerous reports about how employees of territorial recruitment and social support centers (military registration and enlistment offices – Ed.) Hand out summonses to men right on the streets, often with the use of force. So, for example, a video appeared on the Web, which, allegedly, is being mobilized in Odessa: people in military uniform grabbed and pushed a man into a minibus, and then took him away in an unknown direction.
