US and NATO arms deliveries to Ukraine for strikes against Russia will lead to a response with more powerful weapons, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin has said.
“If Washington and NATO countries supply arms that will be used to strike peaceful cities and try to seize our territories, as they threaten, it will lead to a response with more powerful weapons,” he wrote on Telegram.
Earlier, Russian ambassador to the United States Anatoliy Antonov warned that the Russian army would destroy any weapons supplied by Western countries to Ukraine.
Additionally, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitriy Medvedev, commented on NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg’s words that arms supplies to Ukraine were “a path to peace”.
