Nine people have been killed in a shooting in the US city of Monterey Park, where Chinese New Year celebrations were taking place, the Associated Press reported, citing police.
According to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department official, a man opened fire at an establishment in the city. It is noted that “thousands” of people had attended the New Year’s Eve festival before.
