The diplomat reacted to the words of Western politicians about future deliveries of modern armored vehicles to Kyiv. In particular, he recalled the words of State Department spokesman Ned Price that the United States allows the use of American weapons for strikes in Crimea.
“It should become obvious to everyone: no matter what weapons the Americans or NATO supply to the Zelensky regime, we will destroy it. So it was during the Great Patriotic War, so it will be now,” the ambassador said.
Saturating Ukraine with weapons, including American-made weapons, will only lead to more civilian casualties, Antonov said. He urged everyone to listen to the words of President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov about the impossibility of defeating Russia.
“We state that the rhetoric of American officials is becoming more and more militant.
