Moscow will do everything to make the European Union and NATO wake up as soon as possible and give up “colonial illusions”. Sergey Lavrov, head of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, spoke about this.
The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry expressed the hope that colleagues from the West would soon “sober up” and stop destroying the world order.
“I hope that enlightenment will happen. In any case, we will do everything so that our colleagues from NATO and the European Union finally sober up”, Lavrov said in Minsk following talks with Belarusian Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik.
He also characterized his Western colleagues as people who are “presumptuous” and set themselves “irrepressible political ambitions, in which one can feel attempts to realize their sense of their own superiority, as well as colonial and neo-colonial illusions above the interests of their own peoples.”
