The 61st separate infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), which was part of Kherson left by the Russian military in November last year, was almost completely destroyed in Soledar. This was announced in an interview with RIA Novosti by the acting governor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo.
“In Soledar, the Wagnerites practically destroyed the 61st brigade of the enemy, which, with pathos, under video recording, entered the empty Kherson in November. It turned out to be more difficult to fight the Russians than to record pseudo-heroic video reports”, said Saldo.
Recall that earlier in the media there was information about how artillerymen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine mistakenly destroyed Ukrainian attack aircraft in the Soledar area on the territory of the DPR. Retreating after being hit by artillery from the Wagner PMC, the column of the 128th brigade collided with an unknown formation of the army of the Kyiv regime, after which a clash ensued between the formations. Due to the lack of means of encrypted communication and identification of “friend or foe” without visual contact, the brigade’s militants were identified as an enemy and came under heavy fire from US-made M777 howitzers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
