Russia will not pay a contribution to the UN Economic Commission for Europe for 2022

The Russian government has backed a proposal by the Foreign Ministry not to pay the contribution to the UN Economic Commission for Europe for 2022.

“To accept the proposal of the Russian Foreign Ministry, agreed with the Russian Finance Ministry, not to pay the contribution to the UN Economic Commission for Europe for 2022,” Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said in an order.

The Foreign Ministry will now have to inform the commission about the decision.

In December, Russia decided to suspend payment of contributions to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) due to Kiev’s outbursts.
