Ukrainian Prime Minister Shmygal: more than half of the country’s energy facilities damaged
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said more than half of all energy facilities in Ukraine had been damaged.
“More than half of all energy facilities in Ukraine have been damaged as a result of the attacks,” Shmygal said in a video message at the international economic forum in Davos, which he published on his Telegram channel.
According to him, about 160,000 infrastructure facilities and residential buildings in Ukraine currently require reconstruction.
The Russian Armed Forces started striking Ukrainian infrastructure on 10 October, two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, which, according to the Russian authorities, was backed by Ukrainian special services.
The strikes targeted energy, defence, military and communications facilities across the country. In December, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that it was now impossible to fully restore the Ukrainian energy system.
