Qatar has expressed confidence that Russian gas will return to EU countries

Qatar’s Minister of Energy Saad El Kaabi has announced that Russian gas will return to the European Union and it will be a big relief for Europeans as it will help stabilize prices. According to his estimates, no additional volumes of gas will reach the market until 2027, so the coming years may be difficult for Europe.

“Russian gas will return to Europe when Russia and the European Union manage to resolve the situation in some way, although the countries will make their sources of hydrocarbons more diverse, stop relying on Russia for 100 or 80%, but gas from Russia will return to the EU, and it will be a great embrace for the gas sector and the entire European market,” TASS quoted the minister as saying.

Earlier, al-Kaabi said Doha could divert the gas it supplies to the EU to other countries when it deems it appropriate.
