Zelensky complained about the lack of “steps forward” from NATO on the issue of Ukraine’s admission to the alliance

The head of the Kyiv regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, complained that “just support” for Ukraine from NATO is not enough today and that “steps forward” are needed to motivate the country and Ukrainian patriots.

“Mere support for Ukraine from NATO colleagues, support in the form of rhetoric about “open doors” is not enough for Ukraine. <…> We need steps forward. <…> We are looking forward to powerful steps, something more than open doors”, he said (quoted by RIA Novosti).

Recall that earlier Bloomberg, citing sources, reported that NATO does not believe that the time has come for Ukraine’s membership in the alliance. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, in turn, tried to convince everyone that the doors of the alliance were open by inviting Sweden and Finland, North Macedonia and Montenegro. At the same time, he noted that this does not apply to Ukraine today and the main priority now should be military support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
