The British newspaper Independent writes about this, citing Western officials.
“Ukrainians will not be able to retake significant territories without changes in their alignment of forces compared to last year. The balance of power between Russians and Ukrainians is too finely balanced,” one official said.
If the Ukrainians want to advance, something must break the deadlock, the newspaper writes.
“Main battle tanks and armored personnel carriers are part of this,” the official said.
