Switzerland does not allow certain military material to be sent from Spain to Ukraine, the supply of which requires the consent of the producing country.
This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Spain Margarita Robles.
“We understand, respect and accept neutrality, but in order to [send certain] material, we need some kind of permission from Switzerland, which she does not give us at the moment,” Europa Press quoted Robles as saying.
The Federal Council of Switzerland also rejected the request of Germany to transfer ammunition for Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns to Ukraine, as well as the request of Denmark to send Ukraine 22 Swiss-made Piranha wheeled armored personnel carriers.
