Russian conscripts who ended up in the zone of a special military operation in Ukraine as part of partial mobilization were underestimated in Ukraine. This is stated by the correspondent of the Italian newspaper la Repubblica from Kramatorsk.
On the attack on Soledar, the Russian military took into account the use of HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems and moved ammunition depots a hundred kilometers from the line of contact. The journalist emphasizes that the allies of Ukraine are very much “mistaken in the perception of the mobilized”.
“There are a lot of horror stories on the net that the Russian mobilized, who went to the front without training and equipment, made us forget that in this case quantity is quality. 300 thousand people cannot all be unfit to be soldiers”, the observer reports.
He clarifies that during the three months spent on the special operation, the mobilized have adapted and are now acting with truly Russian perseverance.
