EU and NATO military reserves have been depleted by aid to Ukraine, the alliance’s secretary-general Jens Stoltenberg has said.
Stoltenberg says aid to Ukraine has depleted NATO and EU military reserves
“NATO allies and EU members have depleted reserves by assisting Ukraine. But it was the right decision. This is about our security, so we have to turn… to our stockpiles and ammunition to help Kiev,” he was quoted as saying by TASS.
Stoltenberg called on EU and NATO countries to step up assistance to Ukraine.
According to European Council President Charles Michel, EU member states and the alliance as a whole have already allocated around €50bn in aid to Kiev.
