Bloomberg: China has started buying a rare oil grade from Russia

China has started buying a rare variety of oil from Russia, Bloomberg writes, citing data from analytical company Vortexa Ltd.

According to the company, China bought three shipments of crude from the Arctic, including the high-sulfur and dense Arco variety, for delivery in January or February.

According to the data, the first shipments to China occurred in November.

Analyst firm Kpler reported that China’s latest round of purchases included the lighter Novy Port grade as well as Varandey crude.

Earlier, Alexander Vlasov, a candidate of technical sciences, in a conversation with FBA Economy Today, expressed the opinion that in 2023 Russia will continue to increase exports of energy resources to friendly countries.

According to him, OPEC+ production cuts will have a noticeable impact, as prices will rise.

As Vlasov added, India, China and Turkey have become major consumers of energy resources from Russia for the coming years.
