The director general of the National Rating Agency (NRA) Alina Rosentsvet gave a forecast on the inflation situation in Russia in 2023.
The dynamics of inflation will be influenced by the process of structural adjustment of the economy, the expert noted in a conversation with Izvestia. In her opinion, an increase in the price growth rate cannot be ruled out in the future.
The second factor is the delayed effects of the outflow and emigration of the population, the possible strengthening of the overflow of the workforce between different sectors and regions.
“We forecast that inflation in 2023 will average around 6.57%, but will gradually decline. In the absence of a major external shock, price growth could be below 6.5% by winter 2024. However, it is important that these figures are calculated from the high base of 2022”, – concluded Rosentsvetz.
Earlier, NSN citing the Deputy Mayor for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov reported that the number of self-employed in Moscow for ten months of 2022 increased by more than 300 thousand and reached 1.17 million.
