Minister Nishimura: countering economic pressure will be the theme of G7 summit in May
Effective measures and countering economic pressure and coercion will be among the themes of the G7 summit to be held in Hiroshima in May, Japanese Economy Minister Yasutoshi Nishimura, who is visiting the US, told a lecture at the US-based Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).
“Economic coercion is now a real danger,” Nishimura said and stressed the need to contain such coercion.

The minister also pointed out that “effectively countering economic coercion” will be one of the themes of the upcoming G7 summit in Hiroshima.
