State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin has said that Russia has the right to respond to Germany if Russian assets are seized.
Volodin: Russia can respond to Germany in case of seizure of Russian assets
He wrote this in his Telegram channel.
According to him, if Germany seizes Russian assets to rebuild Ukraine, Russia will have the right to take similar actions against the assets of Germany and other countries.
Additionally, Volodin said that Germany’s planned seizure of Russian assets to transfer them to Kiev would begin the process of other countries ignoring international law.
Earlier Bloomberg wrote that German authorities said that they would support Ukraine’s demand to use frozen Russian assets if its European Union allies made a similar decision.
