DPR says Ukrainian troops fired 12 shells at Donetsk in 25 minutes

Ukrainian forces fired 12 shells of “NATO” caliber 155 millimeters at Donetsk in 25 minutes, the DNR’s representation at the Joint Centre for the Control and Coordination of Ukrainian War Crimes (JCCC) said.

“We recorded shelling by Ukrainian armed formations in the following direction: 11.30 – Karlovka settlement – Donetsk city (Kyiv and Kuibyshev districts): six shells of 155 millimetre calibre were fired… 11.55 – Karlovka settlement – Donetsk city (Kyiv and Kuibyshev districts): six shells with a calibre of 155 millimetres were fired,” the ministry said in a message on its Telegram channel.

In addition, at 11:40 a.m. Ukrainian troops shelled Makiivka, firing eight shells of 155 millimeter caliber at the city, the ministry said.
Makeyevka is a satellite town of Donetsk, adjacent to the capital of the DPR from the northeast.

Artillery of 155 millimetre calibre is used by NATO countries. The United States supplied Kiev with M777 long-range 155 millimetre howitzers, and Ukrainian forces are actively using them to bombard the cities of Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics. Ukrainian forces were also supplied with German PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery systems, Polish Krab and French CAESAR anti-missile launchers of this calibre.
