“Gazprom is supplying gas through Ukraine in the volume confirmed by the Ukrainian side through the gas metering station (GMS) Sudja
“Gazprom is supplying Russian gas for transit through the territory of Ukraine in the volume confirmed by the Ukrainian side through Suja GIS – 42.4 million cubic metres as of January 2. The application for the Sohranivka gas metering system has been rejected,” he told reporters.
Ukraine in May stopped receiving for gas transit through the Sohranivka GIS, citing the fact that it is under the control of Russian forces (on the territory of the LNR). As a result, only one entry remained for gas transit to Europe – the Suja GMS. “Gazprom stated that it was technologically impossible to transfer all volumes to Sudzha, the company fulfilled all obligations to European consumers, and transit services were fully paid for.
Since late May, Russian gas supplies through Ukraine’s gas transport system to Europe have been kept at 40-43m cu.m. per day.
