Russian gas supplies to China have exceeded their annual targets and reached a fundamentally new level. This was announced by the head of Gazprom, Alexey Miller.
He said the company had regularly exceeded daily delivery plans in 2022 at China’s request, allowing it to exceed its annual commitments.
“Since January 1, 2023, Gazprom has reached a fundamentally new level of gas supply to China,” his statement was quoted by the company’s Telegram press service as saying.
Miller also said that Gazprom produced more than 412 billion cubic metres of gas last year.
Earlier, Alexander Perov, head of special projects at the National Energy Security Fund and expert at the Financial University under the Government of Russia, spoke with FBA Economics Today about the situation with gas supplies to China.
