Novak: implementation arrangements for response to oil price ceiling to come out after holidays

The Russian government is preparing the procedure for implementing the presidential decree on the response to the oil price ceiling from Russia, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said.

Novak: the procedure for implementing the response to the oil price ceiling will be released after the holidays

“We are now preparing the procedure for implementing the presidential decree, it will be released in the next few days – respectively, right after the holidays. The order will specify the mechanism for monitoring the implementation of the decree,” he was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.

On 27 December, President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on countermeasures to the imposition of a price ceiling on Russian oil by the United States and other countries.

The head of state has banned deliveries of oil and oil products from Russia to those who set a ceiling price for Russian energy resources in their contracts.

At the same time, he will be able to allow supplies to such countries by a special decision.
