Ukrainian refugees complain: in Ireland they had to walk 1 km to get to a place to eat.

This complaint came to the Department for Integration and Equality (DCEDIY) in October from people who were temporarily accommodated by local authorities in one of the hotels, the Irish Examiner writes.

Another appeal pointed to poor ventilation: “Some rooms have no windows. The showers are outdoors and under a tarpaulin. There is no suitable place to store clothes or belongings and no privacy”.

At the same time, the publication notes that Ukrainians are trying not to complain about the conditions: they fear they will be evicted.

Earlier, residents of the Irish towns of Castlebar and Dublin took to the streets to protest against the accommodation of Ukrainian refugees.
