Peskov: situation with introduction of gas price ceiling is being analysed

The authorities are analyzing the situation in case the West introduces a ceiling on gas prices, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

“The gas market has its own specifics. The situation is being analysed. Further, of course, after the analysis is completed, some further steps will be formulated,” Peskov said.

According to him, it is still premature to talk about it.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Novak said that Europe will inevitably face gas shortages.

He also noted the demand for Russian energy resources, despite sanctions and embargoes.
