Before the dismantling of the monument to Valery Chkalov, the monument to Gorky was removed in the city.

“First, we removed the monument to Gorky in the Dnieper, and then the memorial to the pilot Valery Chkalov,” the publication reports in its Telegram channel.

Also, the mayor of the city, Boris Filatov, said that all the monuments that are dedicated to Russia and the USSR and dismantled in Dnepropetrovsk will stand on the territory of the Zoocontrol utility company.
