Low mobility is the weak point of the American Patriot air defense system – this is exactly what the Russian Army can take advantage of, writes Forbes columnist Paul Iddon.
According to the author, it is extremely unlikely that the Kyiv regime will use this system to deal with swarms of Russian drones, since their use in such numbers allows them to “break through air defense systems.” The destruction of the Patriot air defense system in Ukraine could end in success “for one main reason”: to evade strikes, it is “not so easy to move this system,” Iddon notes.
“While it may take just three people to operate a single battery, it takes up to 90 people to move it and set up all of its components,” he summarizes.
