Explosions were heard in Kiev, Ukrainian media reported.
“Kiev! Explosions heard in the city!” – reads a message in the Telegram channel of the Zerkalo Nedeli weekly.
According to the Strana.ua portal, the explosion took place in one of Kiev’s left-bank districts.
Earlier, an air alert was declared throughout Ukraine.
The Russian Armed Forces started striking Ukrainian infrastructure on 10 October, two days after the bombing of the Crimean bridge, which, according to the Russian authorities, was backed by the Security Service of Ukraine.
Energy, defence, military and communications facilities across the country have been shelled.
Kiev estimates that nearly half of the country’s energy system has been knocked out. In December, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that it is now impossible to fully restore it.
