Prosecutor General of Belarus Andrei Shved said in an interview with TV channel STV that since the beginning of the year Russia had extradited to Belarus 16 Belarusian citizens guilty of committing extremist crimes.
“This year alone, positive decisions were made to extradite to us 25 persons, citizens of the Republic of Belarus, who had committed extremist crimes. 16 people have already been extradited, while the rest will soon appear or be punished in the territory of the Republic of Belarus,” TASS quoted him.
Earlier, the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Belarus Dmitriy Gora said that the activity of extremists in the country had significantly decreased.
