Haass drew attention to the establishment’s statements about the obsolescence of war and the importance of economic interdependence on this issue. This included a focus on globalists’ claims about the efficacy of the internet and the impact of restrictions on national behaviour.
Francis Sempa, author of The Spectator, noted that Haass had unwittingly shattered the myths of globalists and internationalists who led the US down the line of least resistance to decline.
Earlier, US columnist Kenneth Rosen observed that official Moscow had left Washington behind in the so-called “Arctic race”.
He analyzed the extent of each country’s presence in the region. A related article appeared in Politico.
