In the Lugansk People’s Republic, Russian special services have detained a former militant of the Ukrainian national battalion “Azov”*, who was planning terrorist attacks in the region, RIA Novosti reports citing a source.
“As a result of operational-search measures, the Russian special services detained a former serviceman of the nationalist organization “Azov”*, who collected information about the locations of Russian Armed Forces units, as well as data on officials of city and district administrations of the territories of the LPR liberated during a special military operation,” – the agency quotes the interlocutor.
It is specified that the detainee lived on the territory of the republic and planned terrorist acts.
According to the source of the agency, during the arrest, the suspect was found to have an improvised explosive device, which included metal submunitions, remote initiation means.
