The Russian S-400 systems and Iskander missile launchers transferred to Belarus will increase the effectiveness of joint air defense. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said this in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“In particular, the latest models of Russian weapons were handed over to the armed forces of Belarus – the S-400 air defense systems and the Iskander mobile operational-tactical missile launchers,” he said.

“This should increase the combat capability of the Belarusian army and the efficiency of the unified Russian-Belarusian air defense system,” Galuzin added.

The S-400 air defense system and the Iskander missile system, which were transferred by Russia, were put on combat duty by Belarus on Monday, December 19.
