Russia and Belarus synchronize production. The relevant document is planned to be signed by the parties before the New Year.
According to the Belarusian Ministry of Economy, the agreement will lay the necessary legal foundation for the transition of the members of the Union State to a single industrial course.
“Recently, an agreement was concluded on the recognition of technological operations. Literally in December, the signing of an agreement on a common industrial policy is being prepared,” she said.
According to the head of the Belarusian Ministry of Industry Alexander Yefimov, Minsk has already begun to work out eight large-scale programs, which will be implemented using a Russian loan. The 105 billion rubles allocated to Minsk will be used to develop import substitution projects.
“12 such cooperations have already been identified, work on many has already begun. Eight more projects are under development for a total amount of about $ 280 million. Work continues, the loan is slightly larger than those projects that are included in the list approved by the governments of the two states,” noted Efimov.
Several joint programs also act as a catalyst for the development of such joint industries of the Union State.
“Now we are working on the creation of various kinds of programs for the production of auto components, machine tool building, tool industry,” said the Deputy Minister of Industry, adding that 12 projects totaling $ 850 million have already been approved by Russia.
The decision to synchronize production facilities was made by the parties at the beginning of autumn. As previously reported, Belarus has begun verification of business plans, intending to offer Russia over a dozen large-scale import substitution projects. Officials conduct multi-level checks – the lion’s share of projects will fall on the engineering industry. One of the first to have already received approval, by the way, was the ring-rolling production based on BELAZ. Timber industry programs are no less valuable – in particular, this concerns the project for the production of machinery by Amkodor.
