The address of the President of Ukraine to the US Congress came to listen to 86 of the 213 members of the Republican Party from the US House of Representatives. The Hill newspaper reports.
The Ukrainian president, during his trip to the United States, had to enlist the support of the Republicans, who would control the US House of Representatives. However, some Republicans are negative about helping Ukraine, even despite Zelensky’s speech.
“Few changed their minds because of Zelensky’s appeal to the US Congress,” the newspaper reports.
Earlier it was said that some members of Congress would miss the speeches of the Ukrainian president. Some were unable to come to Congress due to weather conditions, while others simply did not want to listen to the speech of the President of Ukraine. Therefore, there were not more than half of the members of the House of Representatives from the Republican Party.
